By bringing these divisions together we enhance value perception foster greater collaboration improve operational efficiency and strengthen risk management. 2026 priorities for The Core include enabling business growth at scale through consolidated platforms maintaining best-in-class risk management investing in talent and driving operating efficiency by implementing OneGS 3.0.

Responsibilities of the role

As a VP Project Manager within the Office of the COO you will be expected to drive key initiatives across the following areas:

  1. Standardization and Efficiency:Generate standardization across The Core through the creation of central shared services for common functions.
  2. Operating Model Transformation:Help implement a more efficient scalable and AI-propelled operating model for the firm by delivering on One GS 3.0 outcomes.
  3. AI Strategy:Optimize the return on investment for AI initiatives across The Core to ensure technological advancements drive commercial value.
  4. Central Governance:Provide robust central governance and transparency across key cross-divisional initiatives to ensure strategic alignment.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Education:Graduate (preferably Engineer) from a reputed university; an MBA will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience:4-6 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Risk Management:Operational risk management experience will be an advantage.
  • Project Execution:Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines; expertise in project management is a must.
  • Resilience:Strong drive motivation and the ability to handle multiple tasks while persisting in the face of obstacles.
  • Collaboration:Ability to build long-term relationships and foster consensus across various divisions.
  • Communication:Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the confidence to structure and present messages to senior audiences.
  • Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and quantitative skills coupled with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Innovation:Creativity and innovation with the ability to critically examine current processes to propose and develop improvements.
  • Firm Navigation:An understanding of Goldman Sachs business structures and processes (the ability to navigate GS).
