Job Summary
Operate and Assist
Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the countrys leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates including crushed rock sand gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiasticQuarry Operatorto join the team atour Lysterfield Quarry in VIC a just under a 1-hour drive southeast of Melbourne CBD.
This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.
In your new role with us you will:
Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles plant and equipment
Operate a heavy vehicle (excavator/front end loader/dump truck). If no ticket Heidelberg Materials Australia will provide training and certification to get ticket for the right candidate
Perform general labour activities including cleaning hosing and shoveling
This role is a great fit for you if you have:
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Total commitment to risk management and OH&S
A positive work ethic and ability to work within Hanson values and philosophies
Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump truck ticket is advantageous
Experience in either Quarrying or Mining
The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
What we offer:
Hourly base rate from $34.01 pending experience plus penalty rates plus super
Monday to Friday average hours 6:00am 4:00pm
Rostered half day Saturday shifts according to business needs
