Chicago IL Loop (Hybrid) $150000 base STRONG bonus

Our client is heavily regulated so healthcare or trading infrastructure experience is mandatory. Infrastructure is high-stakes real-time trading operations - reliability and security are non-negotiable.

Were looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer to build and operate the cloud platform that powers our business. Youll execute on infrastructure architecture partnering across Engineering Product Security and Risk.

This is a builder role. If youve shipped production infrastructure from scratch know your way around EKS and take real ownership of what you deploy - we want to talk.

What Youll Do

Build deploy and maintain secure scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

Own Kubernetes (EKS) workloads end-to-end - from cluster configuration to containerized service deployments.

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security baked in.

Stand up and refine full observability stacks (Prometheus Grafana distributed tracing).

Implement least-privilege IAM secrets management and automated certificate rotation.

Support SOC2 and FINRA compliance through audit-ready controls and evidence gathering.

Participate in on-call rotation.

What Were Looking For

• 3 - 5 years managing cloud infrastructure in production AWS environments
• Strong hands-on Terraform - you can read write and debug it in real time
• Solid Kubernetes experience; EKS is a significant plus
• Experience connecting full systems end-to-end: load balancers networking databases frontend/backend services
• DevOps-leaning builder mindset - you build platforms not just maintain them
• High ownership orientation and comfort operating in evolving fast-moving environments
• Fintech or financial services background helpful but not required
  • If no Fintech or financial services MUST come from a highly regulated industry (healthcare etc.)
