Job Summary

Overview: This position is responsible for providing superior customer service to all patrons of the Marina. This position will report to the Marina Manager.

Responsibilities:

Performs opening/closing duties.
Greets and welcomes patrons.
Provide accurate information regarding the Marina and other resort facilities.
Advises patrons on potential weather issues
Assist guests with purchases and rentals while manning the cash register.
Complete all necessary rental paperwork.
Maintains facility neatness and cleanliness report any maintenance issues.
Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of all equipment report any deficiencies.
Inspects rental equipment for damage before and after each rental
Instructs patrons on safety and proper operation of Jet Skis pontoon boat paddle boards and kayaks.
Report any unsafe operation or damage to rental equipment to marina management.
Provide fueling at the gas pump dock provide pump out service at the pump out station.
Provide assistance docking boats of all sizes.
Follows all marina and resort policies procedures and service standards.
Performs maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have professional appearance and possess strong communication skills.
Must be 16 years or older
Knowledge of water sports equipment rentals preferred will train.
Knowledge of Jet Ski operation preferred will train.
Knowledge of basic boat handling and seamanship skills preferred will train.
Capable of interpret local weather reports.
Must be able to swim.
Must pass Virginia Boating Safety Course within 30 days of hire
Must be able to work outdoors in unshaded areas for extended periods of time.
Cash handling and basic computer knowledge a plus.
Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
Must have the ability to work weekends and holidays.
