The post holder will be a member of the Marketing Recruitment and Admissions and Communications team with the responsibility for supporting the Partnership and Business Development division in strengthening and expanding relationships management with corporate government and private sector partners to drive student recruitment and bursary opportunities for Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM).
The post holder will assist in coordinating foundation undergraduate and postgraduate student recruitment activities in collaboration with schools to support the Universitys recruitment ambition.
The post holder will assist the Senior Manager in exploring and coordinating potential articulation or advanced standing partnerships with institutions contributing to broader student recruitment initiatives.
The role will be based at the Universitys campus in Putrajaya the administrative capital of Malaysia.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership Management & Development
- Support the Senior Manager in maintaining relationships with corporate government and private sponsors including communication follow-ups documentation and preparing proposals or reports.
- Assist in identifying potential sponsors industry partners and scholarship opportunities maintain partner records using CRM or similar tools and support effort to secure new sponsorships and bursary collaborations.
- Assist in planning and executing corporate engagement events such as briefing sessions previews and partner visits coordinate with other departments for smooth execution and represent HWUM at education fairs exhibitions and corporate events when required.
Institutional Partnerships
- Assist in developing and managing partnerships with colleges and universities for articulation or advanced standing including collecting and organizing data and documents for partnership agreements.
Scholarship & Bursary Management
- Support the management of industry related bursary (ie. Corporate Partnership Bursary Professional Body Bursary etc.) and donor-funded scholarships by tracking applications preparing reports and following up with partners regularly.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare reports meeting notes and updates on partnership activities and support budget tracking and logistics for partnership-related events.
Student Recruitment Support
- Work with the Student Recruitment and Admissions team to support student leads from partner organisations and assist in recruitment events such as Open Days school visits and exhibitions.
- Perform anyothertasksdeemedrelevantto supporting admissions andstudentrecruitmentprocesses.

Essential
- Degree(orequivalentqualification)
- Atleast3 to 5 years working experience in similar capacity.
- Experienceincorporate industrialrelations and governmentsponsorshipwill be added advantage.
- Self-motivated target-oriented and independent with high degree of commitmenttomeetdeadlinesand objectives.
- Excellentwrittenandverbal communication skills.
- Well versed with Microsoft Office applications and any Customer RelationsManagementtoolswillbean advantage (CRM tools).
- Highly adaptable and open to the conceptandflexibilityofworkingfrom home or campus will be an essential skill.
- Abilitytoworkandcooperateinateam- orientedenvironment-people oriented with warm and cheerful disposition.
- Creative resourceful customer focused.
- Bepreparedtospendtimeawayfrom home travelling nationally and internationally. Must possess valid passport.
- Willingtoworkbeyondnormalworking hours including weekends and public holidays.
