Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $81.17/hr
Weekly Gross Pay: $3043.88
Weekly Stipend: $1693.88
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CT Scan Technologist to perform advanced computed tomography procedures and support diagnostic imaging services. The ideal candidate will produce high-quality cross-sectional and 3D images for interpretation while ensuring patient safety comfort and compliance with clinical protocols.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex CT imaging procedures with precision and accuracy.
Review and document patient clinical history in imaging systems.
Prepare and screen patients including contrast questionnaires and safety checks.
Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions.
Verify exam appropriateness and collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians as needed.
Ensure proper documentation and image storage in PACS and EMR systems.
Obtain and manage outside imaging studies for comparison.
Provide imaging results and copies to patients and physicians when required.
Prepare patients for scans including positioning shielding and use of immobilization devices.
Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access per established guidelines.
Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to any complications.
Maintain compliance with departmental policies safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in on-call rotations weekends holidays and overtime as needed.
Assist in delivering patient-centered care tailored to individual needs (age culture communication barriers etc.).
Required Qualifications:
Certified CT Technologist with relevant experience.
Strong experience in CT Scan procedures.
Proficiency with PACS and electronic medical record systems (e.g. EPIC preferred).
Ability to perform venipuncture and administer contrast media.
Strong understanding of CT protocols and patient safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
Push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Stand for extended periods (minimum 6 hours per shift).
