As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrolin Lihue HI you will safeguard the airport staff and its facilities. Along with driving patrolling checking and securing doors.As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time - Morning/Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures post orders and Allied Universal guidelines including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals parking areas and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas by checking credentials as required managing visitor entry and/or directing individuals to the appropriate airport resources.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation coordinating with airport personnel and/or contacting law enforcement or emergency services as directed.
• Document security-related observations incidents and patrol activities in reports and logs and communicate timely updates to supervisors and appropriate stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
