Bridge Design Engineer
Location: Kansas City MO (also available in Wichita KS; Lawrence KS; Topeka KS)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
The Bridge Design Engineer will support transportation infrastructure projects with a focus on bridge design and structural analysis. This role works closely with a collaborative multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across a range of transportation projects. The position offers exposure to all phases of design and construction with opportunities for technical growth client interaction and field involvement.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural design calculations for bridge systems using both hand calculations and engineering software
Utilize design and analysis software to support project delivery
Collaborate with project teams and team leads to execute design tasks across multiple projects
Prepare quantity takeoffs to support cost estimates bid evaluations and project planning
Review project submittals to ensure compliance with design standards and drafting requirements
Manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines and maintaining quality standards
Participate in coordination efforts with internal teams and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles related to bridge design
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or Engineer Intern (EI) designation
Experience with Bentley software and structural analysis tools
Exposure to transportation or bridge design projects
