Position Overview
High Bluff Academy is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Online Chat Representative to serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students current families and general inquiries. This role focuses on delivering timely accurate and supportive communication through online chat platforms while maintaining the academys high standards of service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to inbound chat inquiries from prospective and current students parents and community members
- Provide accurate information about academic programs admissions processes scheduling and general services
- Guide prospective families through initial inquiry stages and help schedule consultations or follow-ups
- Maintain clear professional and empathetic communication in all interactions
- Document conversations and update internal systems with relevant customer information
- Collaborate with admissions academic staff and administrative teams to ensure consistent messaging
- Identify common questions or issues and provide feedback to improve communication processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred
- Previous experience in customer service admissions or online support roles is a plus
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to grammar and tone
- Comfortable using chat platforms CRM systems and basic office software
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an educational environment or academic support setting
- Familiarity with enrollment or admissions processes
- Bilingual communication skills (a plus but not required)
- Work Environment
- Primarily remote with potential for occasional on-site collaboration
