Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and consultations
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies
- Document anesthesia care and maintain accurate medical records
- Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices and technologies
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Anesthesiology
- Valid state medical license to practice in Harrisonburg
- Experience in administering anesthesia in diverse surgical settings
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education
Schedule: 7a-5p or 7a-3p

Caseload: General orthopedic OB vascular and pediatric
Must be willing to both supervise and do your own cases
Care Team Model: 12 Anesthesiologists 3-6 CRNAs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
