TRAINING LEAD

Leads mechanical training of new hires prior to new hire advancement into production environment. Lead new hires through designed training curriculum and provide assessment and coaching throughout process. Works under leadership of training coordinator with input from area supervisors to best serve company needs. Self leads facilitation of training program and continuously improves based on feedback and observations from trainees area supervisors and current employees in the position. Act in supervisory role of new hires during initial training workload prior to new hire moving into production assignment. Ensure new hires are successfully on-boarded and proficient in their mechanical abilities after training completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in development of training program curriculum
Assist in development of training curriculum fixtures tools and support materials
Lead facilitation of training program
Provide assessment assistance to area supervisors
Conduct in-process assessments and training examinations to ensure trainees are meeting standard requirements
Organize and collect training assessment documentation for update in LMS system
Ensure trainees meet job capability requirements at time of training program completion
Continually improve training program curriculum fixtures and training aids
Other responsibilities as assigned/required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency and understanding of National Machinery cold forming products
Strong mechanical abilities and the ability to demonstrate necessary mechanical skills required of National Machinery production work.
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to manage time and schedules effectively
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office PDM POKA and other computer related functions

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Office and shop environment.
Safety shoes and safety glasses required
Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Work can be strenuous including standing for extended periods climbing pulling on torque wrenches and assembling large components
