Heres What You Need
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required
Associate degree preferred
1 year of clinical experience in Mammography preferred or
Meet the Mammography requirements as stated in Federal Register for MQSA in Final Rules Part 900 12(a)(2) preferred
1 year of clinical experience in Mammography highly preferred
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography required and
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography upon hire preferred or
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography within 12 months required and
CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
What You Will Do
Staff supervision and coordination of daily department activities
Schedule staff to provide adequate staff coverage including vacation schedules absenteeism and turnover
Oversee orientation training and cross-training of new staff to department assesses their ability to work independently communicates policies and procedures to staff and verifies orientation paperwork
Assist in implementing and monitoring performance evaluation procedures establishing professional development goals and counseling staff on an ongoing basis as appropriate.
Act as a technical resource for staff by providing ongoing instruction and assistance with procedures equipment and PAC
Perform mammograms and diagnostic radiographs.
Produce quality images in mammography as defined by the American College of Radiology guidelines.
