About Global Delivery Services

• Global Delivery Services refers to EYs worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EYs strategy by ensuring effective support to EYs growth agenda.
• Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80000 professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina China Hungary India Philippines Poland Sri Lanka Mexico Spain and the United Kingdom.

The Opportunity

In this role as a senior consultant in GDS Consulting you will lead the implementation of Ciena/ Blue Planet products and integration with the telecommunications operators Operations Support Systems (OSS). You will be responsible for ensuring that a quality integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner at budget and to our clients satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Delivery and Product implementation configuration extensions and integrations for OSS systems involving Ciena Blue Planets suite of products with specific focus on Blue Planet Network Inventory (BPI).
• Actively drive & participate in Business Analysis and requirements gathering Design Development Testing Deployment Data Migration and Support.
• You will develop system process and data requirements of the customer.
• You will map OSS software (Network Inventory) capabilities to those needs and build consensus around the solution proposes technical solutions to system requirements.
• You will develop applicable process and system change documentation; Develop and distribute project related documentation.
• Write and maintain Java code create Spring beans and develop JUnit tests.
• Develop and extend GUI components such as grids and reports using core product modules.
• Adhere to established coding and documentation standards while extending core product components.
• Write and optimize database queries and procedures primarily for Neo4j PostgreSQL.
• Support debugging deployment and environment setup using tools and platforms such as Docker AWS and Kubernetes.

• Backend Development:
• Languages: Java 11 J2EE
• Frameworks/Libraries: Maven Spring (Data Security MVC) SpringBoot
• Testing: JUnit

Databases:

• Primary: Neo4j (Graph DB) PostgreSQL TimescaleDB

Additional Skills:

• ElasticSearch Camunda / BPMN / OSM / Workflow Drools Kafka integration RESTful APIs (using Spring MVC) Docker Kubernetes
• Programming Concepts: Algorithms data structures database concepts (relational and graph)

Domain Knowledge:

• Telecom OSS (Operational Support Systems) Inventory Management
• Consultant with minimum of 5 Years proven experience and significant knowledge in Telecom OSS Network Inventory.
• Experience in Ciena Blue Planet Inventory (BPI).
• Experience in at least one of the OSS COTS products (E.g. Netcracker Ericsson Nokia etc.)
• Knowledge of and preferably certification in TMForums eTOM framework along with Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and Open APIs.
• Exceptional quantitative skills enabling identification of key business issues and progression of solutions.
• A bachelors degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/ or any other relevant discipline.
