Job Summary
Title: Solutions Engineer Puzzmo
Puzzmo is Hearsts daily puzzle games platform founded by Zach Gage and Orta Therox. Puzzmo develops and publishes original daily puzzles games on and the Puzzmo iOS app. We also offer solutions to leading publishers who want to integrate our games and technology into their experiences thats where you come in.
As Puzzmos Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for partner integration and a variety of business needs. That means you will work on the parts of Puzzmo that connect with the outside world and/or relate directly to revenue. New partners and licensees frequently have novel use cases workflows analytics and ways of handling user identity that need to connect seamlessly with Puzzmos games and technology. Additionally the business team at Puzzmo aims to experiment with and iterate on pricing adtech integrations and analytics to make better decisions. You will both contribute code and interface directly with clients and stakeholders to drive the business forward in these areas.
This role is an onramp to other kinds of work that go on at Puzzmo like game development and development of core platform features.
What will you do
Contribute code and documentation to the Puzzmo platform
Work closely with clients partners and internal stakeholders on a variety of product tests launches and fixes
Develop scalable self-serve solutions
What will it take to be successful
Product management skills - to us that means competently leading a given product through its lifecycle from spec to design to client feedback development and launch
A responsive flexible collaborative working style
A desire to master the frontend and backend aspects of Puzzmos stack to inform your technical decisions and strategy and to prepare for leadership positions in the future
Qualifications
- 3 years of software development experience emphasizing full-stack engineering
- Professional experience with TypeScript React and high-performance web apps
- Proficiency in Postgres Node and graphql
- A passion for gaming and user-centric design

The reasonable estimate if hired in New York State is $150000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York State. If this role is open to candidates outside of New York State the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidates starting salary will be based on a number of permissible non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skills and experience training certifications and education.
