Job Summary
Provide world-class service for our Drivers & Lease Purchase Partners by adding quality & value through efficient repairs on Class 8 Tractor and Trailers. P&S Transportation seeks experienced Technicians with the highest level of professionalism. Candidates must have verified experience minimum of five years.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Diagnose repair & maintain Class 8 tractors and trailers by analyzing diagnostic test results (computerized sound visual feel smell etc.)
Perform Federal DOT inspections as well as preventive maintenance
Perform light and heavy-duty repairs
Maintain company owned tools
Maintain company owned service trucks
Participate in company paid training & continuing education of OEM spec changes

A Successful Service Technician:
Must consistently demonstrate the companys Mission and Values. They must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers Drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone. They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful Service Technician must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Finally they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to including Saturdays if required evenings and holidays.
Requirements:
Valid state drivers license / US work authorization
Dependable organized & self-motivated
Minimum 5 years experience as a Class 8 technician diagnosing repairing and maintaining electrical hydraulic and diesel systems on Class 8 tractors &/or trailers
Computerized diagnostic skills use of OE platforms DDDL Insite Davie
Willing to obtain certifications (ASE & OEM)
Excellent communication skills
Basic computer skills (Outlook Email WO Software Inventory etc.)
Must provide and maintain personal tools and storage boxes
Education Level Preferred: 2-year degree
Experience Level Preferred: 3 - 5 years
