As a Storage Architect at Ubisoft Montréal you will design and guide storage solutions that align with our technology strategy and business needs. You will support engineering teams by providing clear technical direction scalable architectures and thoughtful recommendations across onpremises and cloud environments. The Storage Architect plays a key role in shaping longterm infrastructure decisions and enabling reliable secure platforms.
What youll do
- Define long-term storage strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices
- Research emerging technologies run proofs of concept and share clear recommendations
- Design and maintain storage architectures for data centers and cloud environments
- Produce technical documentation architecture diagrams presentations and prototypes
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear messages for nontechnical stakeholders
- Guide and support engineering teams through design reviews and implementation choices
- Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across infrastructure teams
- Ensure solutions meet performance scalability and reliability expectations
Qualifications :
What you bring to the team
- Strong knowledge of software-defined storage technologies such as NFS SMB S3 Ceph and similar systems
- Proven ability to design complex storage architectures across onpremises and cloud platforms
- Solid understanding of data protection and disaster recovery including backup and replication strategies
- Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools like Git Ansible Chef or equivalents
- Good grasp of storage security best practices including encryption and access controls
- Clear and collaborative communication skills with technical and nontechnical partners
- Ability to work closely with infrastructure application and security teams
- A learning mindset and interest in evolving storage technologies
