We have a great opportunity for a Night Manager to join our Front Office management team for 2 nights a week reporting directly to our Front Office Manager.
This is a casual position where you will be required to cover 2 overnight shifts per week working between 11pm till 7am.
You will be based on the front reception and will be responsible for cross checking and balancing work completed during the day by all outlets. You will ensure the highest level of customer service and professionalism is offered at all times whilst maintaining accuracy and guest confidentiality.
A proactive attitude that translates to a high-performance mind set and an outstanding attention to detail is required for the role and you will have the opportunity to work within a small but awesome Novotel on Newcastle Beach.
What you will be doing:
- Hold responsibility and accountability for the efficient operations of the Hotel on the overnight shift.
- Conduct night audits ensuring financial transactions and reports are accurate.
- reconcile credit cards floats and cash handling in line with hotel policies and accounting standards.
- Maintain compliance with hotels credit policy and investigate any discrepancies in guest or financial records.
- Prepare reports to reflect the trading result of the property on a daily weekly and monthly basis.
- Prepare briefing sheets for all staff informing them of daily activities group and VIP arrivals as well as special requests.
- Oversee all hotel operations during the night shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
- Be the first point of contact for all of our guests ensuring exceptional service and efficiency in check-ins check-outs and guest queries.
- Manage emergency situations including medical issues fire alarms or security concerns.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies procedures and regulations.
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Service focused personality is essential
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
- A passion for customer service along with a strong desire to achieve goals and targets.
- Ability to commit to working 11pm till 7am for 2 nights per week.
- Already hold or be able to obtain your - RSA Certificate and Senior First Aid Certificate
