About Global Delivery Services

• Global Delivery Services refers to EYs worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EYs strategy by ensuring effective support to EYs growth agenda.
• Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80000 professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina China Hungary India Philippines Poland Sri Lanka Mexico Spain and the United Kingdom.
• Client service is focused on providing Consulting Assurance Tax Strategy & Transactions and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless high-quality value-added support helping deliver exceptional client service.
• Enablement Services provides cost-effective high-skilled and innovative services to support EYs global and local enablement teams. Markets BMC AWS Finance and Accounting Risk Management Procurement People Shared Services IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services are among the services offered by Enablement Services.
• Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams along with Service Lines Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics digital user experience mobile technology infrastructure Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

The Opportunity

• As a Senior SAP BASIS Specialist you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our SAP BASIS infrastructure and operations. This senior role offers you the opportunity to ensure system stability security and high performance across complex SAP landscapes.
• You will work closely with IT teams functional consultants and business stakeholders to implement best practices troubleshoot complex technical issues and support system upgrades patches and migrations. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining system health ensuring compliance with IT policies and supporting disaster recovery and business continuity efforts.
• In this role you will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior BASIS team members fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth. You will be part of a collaborative team that values technical excellence and innovation delivering reliable SAP BASIS services to support business operations

Your Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for decision-making optimizing processes resource management and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
• Accountable for allocating personnel supervising team members assigning tasks ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.
• Performance monitoring & tuning Problem analysis & resolution and other activities required to maintain system integrity SAP administration on UNIX & Windows
• System /System copy
• ABAP Java-dual stack
• Add-on and Support Pack application and troubleshooting
• Kernel Upgrade
• Client copies and export-import
• TMS administration and configuration and troubleshooting Transport errors
• SAP system monitoring and thorough analysis of issues
• SAP parameter change operation mode setup Logon group setup
• SAP Role based Authorization knowledge - Role creation and modification
• Spool administration and troubleshooting spool/printer issues
• OSS Note application
• Experience in Single -Sign On Web Dispatcher
• Experience in working SAP on public cloud and private cloud.
• Experience in working with cloud service providers like AWS Azure and GCP.
• SAP Solution Manager experience with basic and advanced configuration.
• Hands-on experience with SAP user provisioning authorization troubleshooting and role assignments.
• Basic knowledge of OS/DB migration processes.
• Familiarity with Web Dispatcher Gateway and SAP integration components.

Skills and attributes for success

• Should have 3 to 6 years of experience in SAP Basis domain.
• Solid hands-on experience in SAP system administration including installation configuration upgrades and performance optimization.
• Should understand SAP architecture transport management kernel updates and system refresh processes.
• Proficient in administering SAP HANA (monitoring tuning backup/recoveries basic troubleshooting).
• Experience supporting landscapes like S/4HANA ECC BW/4HANA PO/PI Fiori Solution Manager etc.
• Strong SAP BTP knowledge including key services integration patterns and administration fundamentals.
• Strong working experience with RISE with SAP environments and operational activities.
• Strong documentation skills for system delivery ensuring clear structured and auditready technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Solution Manager features such as CHARM EWA and monitoring.

Ideally youll also

• Practical experience managing SAP workloads on Azure or AWS (VMs storage classes networking monitoring).
• Exposure to SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) for monitoring change control and operations.
• Exposure to SAP Data Archiving with OpenText

Certifications:

• SAP Technology Associate certifications (SAP Basis or HANA).
• SAP Cloud Certifications (RISE BTP HANA Cloud etc.).
• Cloud certification (AWS Azure and GCP).
• Exposure to enterprise transformation tools such as Signavio and LeanIX for process modeling architecture governance and landscape documentation.
