THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you currently working in a similar role or you are a dairy farm assistant looking for the next step - either way this Production Manager (2IC) leadership opportunity at Tasman Dairy could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Join this supportive and friendly team who all work well together as 2IC you will also work closely with the Farm Manager.
You will help to implement farm plans and take on a degree of responsibility for feed allocation animal health and breeding and animal records. You will also be happy to muck in and support the team where needed.
On the Farm Managers Day off you will take responsibility for the team ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise with over 110 farms across New Zealand. Our purpose is to lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable agriculture solutions for future generations.
THE FARM
Just 15 minutes from Levin Tasman Organics is a certified organic dairy farm covering 155 effective hectares. We milk around 330 cows at peak through a 30-aside herringbone shed.
We run a 5:2 roster for most of the year switching to a 6:2 pattern over spring to meet seasonal needs and keep things running smoothly.
This is a team that values sustainable practices high animal welfare standards and a strong team culture and were proud of the work we do every day.
ABOUT YOU
You are self-motivated and passionate about dairy farming wanting to grow your career and develop your leadership skills.
You will have:
Proven dairy experience in grazing and animal health
A commitment to individual and team development
Pasture management and feed planning skills
High standards of animal welfare and commitment to health and safety
Self-motivation and initiative able to problem-solve
Current and full NZ drivers licence
Experience driving farm machinery/tractors
A sound understanding of health and safety practices
