Job Summary
Weekend shifts only currently.
Vigilant Protection Services is seeking highly alert licensed (level3) Armed Security Guards to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients employees and the public. You will play a critical role in deterring threats responding to incidents and enforcing property rules.
This role requires professionalism strong judgment under pressure and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Protect life and property by maintaining a visible presence and conducting regular patrols
- Respond to alarms disturbances and emergencies in a calm and effective manner
- Monitor access control points
- Deter criminal activity through strong situational awareness and professional conduct
- Enforce client-specific rules and regulations on site
- Complete incident and shift reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Maintain weapon readiness and follow all firearm safety procedures and state laws
- Monitor entrance/exit to ensure property does not exceed capacity.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Security Officer license (per state requirements)
- Valid firearm permit and proof of current firearms training/certification
- Prior law enforcement military or security experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent judgment communication and conflict resolution skills
- Must be able to stand walk or patrol for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and availability to work assigned shifts (including nights weekends or holidays as needed)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Schedule & Compensation
- There will be weekends with no shifts weekly schedule provided.
- Friday through Sunday(when needed) 6pm-1am.
- Sunday 10:30am-3:30pm.
- Hourly pay rate $14.
