Job Description
As a Security Officer - Property Perimeter Patrol in Philadelphia PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy university location you will conduct routine foot patrols maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control and visitor guidance. You will communicate clearly with students faculty and staff document observations and respond to service calls with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an education location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation documenting observed conditions and notifying the appropriate campus resources and/or Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings residence areas common spaces and perimeter areas to help to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity report maintenance hazards and/or security-related concerns and follow post orders for visitor management and after-hours checks.
- Complete patrol logs incident reports and shift communications using required systems and/or forms and assist with compliance activities such as key control and property checks as directed by post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
