Education Qualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
Job Summary
The AS400 Administrator is responsible for managing maintaining and supporting IBM i (AS400) systems to ensure high availability performance security and compliance with operational standards.
Administer and support IBM i (AS400) systems including system configuration and maintenance
Perform system monitoring performance tuning and capacity planning
Manage user profiles roles authorities and security policies
Handle backup recovery and disaster recovery (DR) procedures
Apply PTFs OS upgrades and firmware updates
Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors when required
Support HA/DR solutions (MIMIX PowerHA iCluster if applicable)
Monitor and manage job queues subsystems message queues and system logs
Ensure compliance with SLA audit and security requirements
Document procedures configurations and operational runbooks
Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on-call rotations
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with IBM i / AS400 administration
Knowledge of OS/400 i5/OS IBM i OS
Experience with CL commands CL programming basics
Understanding of DB2 for i administration
Backup tools such as BRMS
System security concepts and auditing
Experience in incident problem and change management
