As the Area Manager you will oversee a team responsible for executing high-impact fundraising campaigns including dinner events galas golf tournaments fitness events (walks endurance races) and peer-to-peer initiatives. You will also manage your own donor portfolio and lead the execution of experiential fundraising programs and initiatives within assigned Southern California markets ensuring strong performance and alignment with Area business plans.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
Drive revenue growth across multiple fundraising channels ensuring achievement of financial goals and alignment with budget targets.
Team Leadership
Manage and mentor a team of 23 fundraising professionals. Set clear goals monitor performance and foster a collaborative results-driven culture.
Event Oversight
Lead planning and execution of major events including dinners galas golf tournaments and fitness-based fundraisers. Ensure excellence in logistics volunteer engagement and donor experience.
Donor & Corporate Engagement
Cultivate relationships with individual donors corporate sponsors and high-net-worth individuals through face-to-face interactions committee development and strategic solicitation.
Volunteer Leadership
Recruit train and manage executive-level volunteer committees. Collaborate with national board members and senior executives to drive event success.
Portfolio Management
Manage your own book of business executing campaigns such as Dream Home radiothons school-based events multicultural initiatives and promotions programs.
Qualifications
3 years in fundraising nonprofit development or event management. Bachelors Degree preferred.
Proven success in leading fundraising campaigns and managing donor portfolios.
Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with committee development corporate sponsorships and high-wealth donor engagement.
Ability to manage multiple projects meet deadlines and lead a team effectively.
Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven fundraising strategies.
This role involves significant travel (approximately 40%) to support donor engagement volunteer leadership and fundraising events. Travel may occur by car or plane based on distance and business needs.
The position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support events donor meetings and key organizational priorities.
Drivers License: A valid drivers license is required for this role.
