We are recruiting for a Global Cost Finance Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the Aviva Investors Finance team focused on global cost management. This role would suit a qualified accountant who has a passion for cost control and providing insights to help drive the business forward.

A bit about the role:

The global cost team are responsible for the reporting analysis and challenge of the Aviva Investors cost base (staff & non-staff cost). . The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of our monthly cost numbers including incentiveswith a focus on both the P&L and Balance sheet. The role involves an understanding of drivers behind cost forecasts and identifying emerging risks and opportunities. Another key part of the role is driving continuous improvement in our Finance processes and realising efficiencies. The candidate will work closely with our Finance offshore team and other Finance and Business stakeholders.

Skills and experience were looking for:

  • Experience of supporting the month end process to ensure timely completion of accurate monthly global P&L and Balance sheet analysis.

  • Work with and oversight the offshore team to ensure all accrual accounts are reconciled and balances are supported and develop KPI reporting to monitor progress.

  • Experience of working with overseas operations and analysing relevant cross border information flows.

  • Experience of preparing MI and reports that effectively present financial data and provide suitable analytical commentary.

  • Calculation & reconciliation of the global incentives (Bonus Deferral Plans & Long Term Incentives Plans)
