Clinical Customer Service Rep - SICU

Full time Evening shift 40 hours.

3:00pm 11:30pm

TheClinical Customer Service Representativeworks as the central point of contact on the care unit for patients families visitors and members of the health care team. This is a fast-paced position that requires professional friendly and efficient performance of the daily duties. The ideal candidate will possess the highest level of Customer Service skills knowledge of information & computer systems the ability to work and assist with Nursing staff & Administrative staff all in the effort to meet the needs of the unit department in accordance with Johns Hopkins Hospital policy and procedures.

The Surgical Intensive Care Unit(SICU - Zayed 9 East)at Johns Hopkins is an 18-bed unit with a diverse patient population receiving various types of surgeries in this ICU including Abdominal Transplant Cardiac Surgery patients GI Surgery Trauma Vascular Surgery Ortho/Neuro Spine procedures and General Surgery. The SICU team is composed of a unit based multi-disciplinary team. Registered Nurses (RNs) in the SICU take great pride in providing high quality post-operative surgical care every day! Teamwork is the common thread to everything the SICU does come join our team!

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
  • One year of clinical experience e.g. home care outpatient acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA Red Cross or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.99/hour - Maximum 20.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
