Junior IT Specialist Global Road IT (Service Management & Support)

The Junior IT Specialist is responsible for support and operations of application services (2nd Level Support) and supporting the application maintenance. The Application Support Specialist delivers the service for the IT service management processes i.e. ensuring the smooth operation of the application. The tasks are typically investigation and resolution of issues and may also include performance monitoring and configuration of software parameters.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Identifies and resolves issues with applications following agreed procedures
  2. Uses application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics
  3. Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks
  4. Go Live Hypercare support after introduction of new solutions
  5. Supporting the processing of service requests
  6. Configuration of software parameters to meet business requirements by using the existing data
  7. Handling of incidents and problems and assignment and escalate to 3rd level support
  8. Application monitoring by using agreed performance monitoring tools ensuring that application performs in an expected manner and scope.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science Business Informatics Logistics or a related field
  • 12 years of experience in IT support application support or service management
  • Knowledge of IT incident and problem management processes (ITIL is a plus)
  • Experience withticketing tools such as ServiceNow
  • Experience collaborating with development teams usingJira or similar tools
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding ofbusiness applications and system environments
  • Logistics industry knowledge is a plus
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent English (written and spoken is a must)
