The AVP Patient Financial Services manages Patient Finance Services which primarily performs balance sheet management and reconciliations journal entry prep and posting across the enterprise. This role is managed in accordance with service level expectations and monitors individual and team performance.

How youll contribute

An AVP Patient Financial Serviceswho excels in this role:

  • Responsible for the management of patient financial services data.

  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives that will align accrual allocation reconciliation and accounting processes with approval Lifepoint leadership

  • Manage internal controls and ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely and that reconciliation variances are explained and resolved

  • Manage internal controls and ensure journal entries are properly prepared and reviewed recorded timely and recorded to the correct period.

  • Collaborate with the Accounting team and operations leaders to provide appropriate treatment of complex or technical accounting issues

  • Assure the integrity of hospital balance sheets through management of the post-closing review process and periodic balance sheet reviews

  • Support general ledger subledger and journal entry analysis as needed including ability to use reporting tools such as OTBI to query transactions to perform necessary research and analysis

  • Liaise with external stakeholders in providing required financial reports and information

  • Responsible for supporting audit inquiries as needed

  • Manage operations in accordance with service level expectations and support daily reporting of individual and team performance

  • Support due diligence efforts on potential acquisitions and divestitures

  • Assist in the integration of new acquisitions

  • Strong accounting and process improvement skills

What were looking for
A bachelors degree is required preferably in Accounting or Finance. Additional requirements include:

Education: Bachelors degree required preferably in the areas of Accounting or Finance

Experience: 7 years of experience in Healthcare Financial Operations

Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (preferred)

Licenses: Active CPA License (Preferred)
