Job Summary

Job Title : IT Project Manager (Extensive Experience in Leading Large-Scale Complex Technology Projects )15Years exp

Location: Albany NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Qualifications:

Project Management Experience

Proven experience managing and leading large complex IT projects as the Project Manager.
Large complex IT projects may include one or more of the following:
- Budgets over $1000000
- Duration longer than 12 months
- Multiple funding sources including federal or grant funding
- Oversight of third-party vendors and external stakeholders
- Leadership of multi-level project teams
- Deployment to geographically diverse end users
Required: Provide at least one example of a large complex IT project successfully led and tracked using an ITSM system.

Project Planning and Execution

Experience in developing and executing comprehensive project management plans covering:
- Charter Scope Schedule Cost Quality
- Communication Change Risk Issue
- Resource management
Experience managing these plans across the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout.
Required: Provide at least one example of an IT project led using the PMBOK framework.

Project Scheduling

Experience developing and managing formal project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project.
Must include:
- Schedule development tracking and variance management
- Use of Waterfall Agile and Hybrid methodologies
- Utilization of standard PM techniques including scrum sessions to update schedules
- Presentation of schedule and status updates to IT and client leadership

Scope Management

Experience creating reviewing and managing detailed Scope Documents.
Must include:
- Reviewing and managing project deliverables
- Deliverable acceptance process and scope governance
- Using formal processes to manage change requests

Quality Management

Hands-on experience with project quality management including:
- Quality planning assurance and control
- End-to-end system testing and UAT coordination
- Defect tracking and reporting
- Overall quality governance

Software Implementation

Experience managing software implementation projects including:
- COTS software implementations
- In-house application development following SDLC methodologies

IT Project Tools and Methodologies

Experience using standard IT project tools including:
- ITSM systems MeasureIT for cost planning
- PMBOK methodology and project management templates

Certifications

Project Management Professional (PMP)
PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
