Software Dev Engineer Test II, FireTV Product QA

We are looking for a strong Software Development Engineer in Test to help us deliver high quality products with great efficiency. Furthermore we need you to be self-driven and solve problems for the long-term with innovative technical solutions. You will need to be able to work closely with other team members as well as offer technical leadership to the team on automation. You should have an in-depth knowledge of automation framework design development solid understanding of computer science principles and excellent customer focus.


Key job responsibilities
As an SDET your responsibilities will include:

Automation Framework & Test Development

- Design and develop automation frameworks that work across multiple devices and OS platforms.
- Build automated tests using existing tools and frameworks to expose defects in product code.
- Create comprehensive tests for new features and services in Fire TV products.

Quality Strategy & Coverage

- Understand product requirements and develop the right automation strategy for optimal coverage and reliability
- Transform manual quality processes into highly automated quality solutions
- Dive deep into testing methodologies to continuously improve automation effectiveness

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

- Work directly with Software Developers Product Managers and Technical Program Managers to ensure proper development and product quality.
- Conduct rapid effective and constructive code reviews for all team submissions.
- Innovate and develop new tools that enhance team productivity and testing capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing automation infrastructure

- 2 years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java C or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
- Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows

- Knowledge of overall system architecture scalability reliability and performance in a database environment
- Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services
- Knowledge of current web technologies
