Position Title: Sales Engineer
Reports To: Sales Manager / Commercial Manager
Position Summary
The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving technical sales activities developing customer relationships and identifying business opportunities within the assigned territory or market segment. This role combines technical expertise with strong commercial skills to propose solutions that meet customer needs support growth objectives and strengthen the companys position in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify pursue and develop new business opportunities within the industrial manufacturing or engineering sectors.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing ensuring alignment with revenue and margin targets.
- Conduct customer visits technical assessments and presentations to understand requirements and propose tailored solutions.
- Prepare quotations proposals and commercial terms in collaboration with internal teams.
Technical Support
- Provide technical expertise to customers regarding product specifications applications and performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to support solution development and customization.
- Offer guidance during installation testing and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Maintain strong product knowledge to effectively articulate value propositions.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and sustain longterm relationships with customers distributors and key stakeholders.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address issues proactively.
- Conduct regular business reviews and identify opportunities for upselling or crossselling.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and report sales performance regularly.
Market Analysis & Strategy
- Monitor market trends competitor activities and customer insights to support strategic decisionmaking.
- Participate in marketing activities trade shows industry events and product demonstrations.
- Provide feedback to internal teams regarding market needs product enhancements and innovation opportunities.
Collaboration & Internal Support
- Work closely with Operations Finance Customer Service and Supply Chain to ensure ontime delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Support forecasting budgeting and pricing strategies.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial Electrical Mechatronics or related field).
Experience
- 25 years of experience in technical sales sales engineering or a similar customerfacing engineering role.
- Experience in industrial products machinery bearings automation or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and product applications.
- Ability to read technical drawings/specifications and provide solutionbased recommendations.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and ERP systems.
- Solid analytical negotiation and presentation skills.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Customercentric mindset and ability to influence at different organizational levels.
