Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Response in San Jose CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms and calls for service. This is an armed driving post supporting a professional public-facing environment through clear communication detailed reporting and respectful customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and/or passengers by following post orders site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with licensing requirements Allied Universal policies and site-specific procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with supervisors and/or local public agencies as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings transit areas parking lots and perimeter zones; document unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Complete required reports and logs including incident documentation patrol activity and security-related observations and communicate status updates via radio and/or phone.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A minimum of 1 years armed security/law enforcement/military experience is required.
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A 40 caliber endorsement is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
