JOB SUMMARY:
The VicePresident Theme ParkDevelopment & Delivery isaccountablefor thecomplete leadership direction andexecution of a singlelarge scaletheme parkdevelopment projectfrom Schematic through openingand operational handoff. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executive Project Leadership
- Provide end to end leadershipand governance for the developmentand delivery of a singletheme park project fromearly planningand approvals throughconstruction commissioning and parkopening.
- Establishand maintain the projects overalldelivery strategy aligning creative technical financialand operational objectives throughout the lifecycle.
- Act as the primary executive interface with seniorleadership business partnersand keystakeholders delivering clearconsistent reporting on budget schedule riskprogress through project monthlyupdates to seniorleadership.
- Oversight of Project Management & Construction Leadership
- Provide direct oversight anddirection to allProject Management teamsProject Directors and theSenior Directorof Construction ensuring unifiedleadership accountability andexecution discipline across the project.
- Ensure project controlsgovernance standards and delivery procedures areconsistently applied acrossall scopes including attractionsinfrastructure buildings landscapesparking and guest facing environments.
- Drive integrationbetween design fabricationconstruction and commissioning to ensure delivery aligns withcreative intent and operationalrequirements.
- Design Procurement & Delivery Execution
- Oversee all planningbudgeting scheduling estimating designconstruction fabrication and close out activitieswithin approved project parameters.
- Maintainexecutive accountability for theprequalification procurementcontracting and performance ofarchitects engineers creative designerscontractors vendors manufacturersand fabricators.
- Ensure allproject documentation and deliveryprocesses--RFIs submittals directives shop drawings pay applicationspunch lists and close out--areexecuted to established standards.
- Ensure cohesive andwell-coordinated design and construction execution betweentheme park and propertydevelopment teamsaligning scope sequencingstandards and delivery objectives
- Creative & Guest Experience Accountability
- Oversee developmentandexecution of creative content whetherproduced by internal creativeteams or externalpartners ensuringfidelity to the approvedcreative vision.
- Maintain accountability for the final guestexperience ensuringthe delivered parkmeets orexceeds theobjectives approved during project authorization.
- Operational Readiness Handover
- Partnerclosely withTechnical Services Park Operationsand other operational stakeholders to ensure clean sustainablehandoffs commissioning and readiness for opening day.
- Ensure long-termmaintainability safety and operational efficiencyare embedded into all design and construction decisions.
- Ensure all attractions food and retail outlets achieve 100% availability at opening through rigorous delivery testing and handover process.
- People Leadership & Culture
- Lead mentor and develop project leaders and teams fostering high performance accountability and professional growth.
- Partner with Human Resources on workforce planning hiring succession planning and team engagement to support project needs and long term organizational health.
- Safety Compliance & Risk Management
- Champion Environmental Health & Safety standards ensuring full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and manage risks related to scope cost schedule quality safety and reputation.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
