Jhpiego an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University is a global health organization dedicated to improving the health of women and families by implementing evidence-based interventions that strengthen health systems and expand access to quality health services.

In collaboration with health departments - Sindh Jhpiego is supporting initiatives to strengthen Reproductive Maternal Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) services. A critical component of this support is building the capacity of health care providers and trainers to improve the quality of care provided during pregnancy childbirth postpartum and the newborn period.

In this regard Jhpiego seeks master trainers on consultancy basis to facilitate training of trainers (ToT) on:

  1. PCPNC Pregnancy Childbirth Postpartum and Newborn Care
  2. E-MOTIVE Bundle for the prevention and management of Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH)

The TOTs will prepare a cadre of competent trainers who will subsequently cascade the training to health facilities across the intervention districts.

Purpose of the Consultancy:

The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical facilitation and training support for the 6-day PCPNC TOT and 2-day E-MOTIVE Bundle TOT ensuring the participants gain knowledge facilitation skills and practical competencies necessary to effectively cascade clinical trainings at provincial district and facility levels when required.

Responsibilities

Specific Objectives:

Two consultants will be engaged to jointly deliver the training and ensure effective knowledge transfer through participatory and competency-based learning approaches.

Description of the Objectives:

  • Review and familiarize with PCPNC and E-MOTIVE training materials prior to the training.
  • Coordinate with Jhpiego to finalize the training agenda and facilitation plan.
  • Lead facilitation of the 6-day PCPNC TOT
  • Leed facilitation of the 2-day E-MOTIVE Bundle TOT.
  • Deliver technical presentations and facilitate interactive learning sessions.
  • Conduct demonstrations simulations and case-based learning exercises.
  • Guide participants on adult learning principles and effective training methodologies for cascade training.
  • Lead practical skills sessions and provide feedback to participants.
  • Administer and review pre- and post-training assessments.
  • Conduct OSCE
  • Ensure active participation and engagement of all trainees.
  • Provide technical oversight and mentoring to the co-facilitator.
  • Lead the preparation and successfully conclude the training
  • Prepare and finalize the training report with the recommendation of potential trainers for cascade trainings
  • Offer mentorship to the trainees post ToT when needed

Deliverables:

The consultants will be responsible for delivering the following outputs:

  1. Facilitation of the 6-day PCPNC TOT.
  2. Facilitation of the 2-day E-MOTIVE Bundle TOT.
  3. Conduct of pre- and post-training assessments.
  4. Documentation of training proceedings and participant engagement.
  5. Submission of a comprehensive training report within five (5) working days after completion of the training. The final training report should include:
    • Training objectives and methodology
    • Training agenda and sessions conducted
    • Participant attendance and engagement
    • Pre- and post-test analysis
    • Key observations and lessons learned
    • Recommendations for cascade trainings

Level of Effort (LOE):

The consultancy will require approximately 1012 working days in April 2026 including preparation training delivery and reporting.

Location of Assignment:

The training will be conducted in Hyderabad (tentatively) with the participation of Provincial and intervention districts.

Reporting and Supervision

Consultant will report to the Jhpiego Sr. Program Manager / and will work closely with the Jhpiego program coordinator during preparation implementation and reporting of the training.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Medicine Public Health Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum 1012 years of professional experience in RMNCH programming.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating clinical trainings and Training of Trainers (TOT) programs.
  • Strong technical expertise in maternal and newborn health particularly postpartum care and management of postpartum hemorrhage.
  • Experience working with government health systems and development partners.
  • Excellent facilitation communication and report writing skills.
