Job Summary
The World Wide OPS Finance S&A (Standardize & Automate) team is looking for a customer focused analytically and technically skilled Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join the team.
The role will require an end-to-end understanding of data and reporting; this role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as good business acumen.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity with strong attention to detail and enjoying working with large data sets. The successful candidate will be also an expert on creating advanced dashboards connecting data sources through APIs expert SQL skills and also passionate about presenting data in a very nice and easy-to-digest way.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the design development and maintenance of ongoing metrics reports analyses dashboards etc. to drive key business decisions.
- Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools.
- Combine knowledge of statistical methodology and analysis with programming skills to support complex analyses.
- Collaborate on the design development maintenance and delivery/presentation of metrics reports analyses tools and dashboards.
- Respond to a variety of on-demand ad-hoc analytical requests as needed.
- Implement training and documentation solutions that enable business stakeholders to get the most out of our self-serve reporting tools.
- Bachelors degree in BI finance engineering statistics computer science mathematics finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience in data mining ETL etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale complex datasets
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
- 2 years of developing automated reporting experience
- 3 years of processing large multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience
- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
- 3 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift Oracle NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2 DynamoDB S3 and Redshift
