Job Summary

We are seeking a Development Manager to support fundraising grant development and donor relations initiatives across multiple programs and regions within the organization. This role plays a key part in identifying funding opportunities preparing grant proposals and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to strengthen the organizations development efforts.

The position reports to the Chief Development and Communications Officer within the Development & Communications Department.

Key Responsibilities

Research potential major donors foundations corporations and government funding opportunities
Identify and track funding opportunities and RFPs
Prepare grant applications proposals and letters of inquiry
Coordinate funding applications across programs and regions
Review and edit fundraising proposals and grant applications
Maintain accurate records of funding submissions and outcomes using fundraising databases
Support fundraising events and development initiatives
Compile annual Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) allocation requests
Collaborate with internal program managers and development teams to align funding strategies
Collaborate with regional program staff development and communications teams foundations and corporate donors government agencies and internal program managers to support fundraising and grant initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in a related field
35 years of experience in development fundraising or related work
Minimum 3 years of direct nonprofit fundraising or development experience
Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Strong research and analytical skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with fundraising databases such as Raisers Edge NXT
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
