About therole

The R&DPrototypingInternsupportskey operations improvementinitiativesand supports the team of technicians bycoordinatingtechnical informationpertaining toprototypingof medical devices harnesses andtestfixtures. They will bringplenty ofideas toenhance the teams agility and accuracythrough implementingprocessand will bea team playerand will work closely with Inventory Mechanical Test and Systems Engineering role will help yougrow toyour full engineering potential.

Your responsibilitieswill include:

• Preparebuildinformationincludingschematicsdrawingsand BOMsworking with mechanical systems and testengineeringteamsto understand their needs.

• Prepare process workflows flowchartsMIsand processesfor building prototypes under R&Dand clinical build procedures.

• Workcloselywith technicians tosupport technical aspects of work support them in theirquestionsandfacilitateprototype builds.

• Support the developmentofoperational systems usingvarious low code tools such as MS SharePoint Lists and Excel.

• Identifynew equipment and techniques to improve physical build processes.

• Supportday to dayoperationalefforts such as issue resolution HSE and continuous improvement.

• Take initiative to improve thePrototyping team.

• Other duties asrequired.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in mechanicalelectricalmanufacturingindustrialor similar engineering fields

• Experience using BoMs CADandEngineering Drawing Standards

• Excellent organizational communication and collaboration skills

• Strongcommand of Excel ability to manipulate data and formulas

• Exceptional communication skills fluent in both written and spoken English

Preferred qualifications:

• Experienceinmanufacturing regulatedmedical devices

• Experience inintroducing operationsand engineeringprocesses

• Experienceofphysicalelectromechanical assembly

• Knowledge of operations databases and/or MRP systems

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see --will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for hourly non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for salaried non-sales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
