Job Summary
Position Overview:
The forklift driver is an essential part of the manufacturing process responsible for safely moving products using powered industrial equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all assignments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Verify all product/full goods/raw materials incoming and outgoing
- Stacking loads properly
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Perform daily forklift inspections
- Correctly rotate product/materials
- Responsible for following all operating procedures
- Inventory management of Material Center Work in Progress (WIP).
- Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Ability to read write and speak English
- Prior forklift experience preferred.
- Prior experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environment (loading/unloading trailers).
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with all functional team members
- Willingness to work weekends holidays or flexible schedule as required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle feel or operate objects tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear; and walk or sit.
Mental Demands
While performing the duties of this role the incumbent is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data information and documents.
