As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Associate in Los Angeles CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will control access respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance and document activity using a computer or tablet. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location with public access.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of galleries offices loading areas parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas verify identification and/or authorization as required and assist with directing guests to appropriate entrances exits and services.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including handling disturbances medical situations and fire or alarm activations and coordinating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs on patrol activity incidents and observations and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a state county and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Having alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
