Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in San Jose CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to calls with calm clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU driver policy requirements and an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government transit location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with transit staff and public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities platforms parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access to restricted areas by checking identification monitoring entry points and documenting authorized access per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities incidents and observations and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have 1 or more years of armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Have a 40 caliber endorsement.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
