Principal Structural Engineer (Bridges)KBR is proud to be the Principal Design Partner on theNorth WesternProgram Alliance (NWPA)a longstanding partnership between the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) Metro Trains MelbourneKBRand John Holland.
Established in 2017 NWPA has successfully delivered around$3B worth of transport infrastructurefor the state and its communities. Off the back of this success LXRP has awarded us a furtherfive-year extension giving our team a strong and sustainable pipeline of major transport projects across Melbournethrough to2027.
With Victorias transport sector booming joining KBR to work on NWPA is an exciting next step in your career.Youllhelp shape the community through citydefining projects includingMelbourne Airport Rail Stage 1 and theRuthven and Seaford level crossing removals with more diverse projects already in development. The Opportunity
As NWPA continues to growwerelooking for passionate deliveryfocused professionals to help keep Victoria moving. We now have an opportunity for aPrincipal Structural Engineerto join our team.
Youllcontribute to our bold futurefocused approach to heavy rail infrastructure design. Whileyoullbegin your journey with NWPA this isapermanent role within KBR opening doors to iconic infrastructure projects across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Planscheduleand deliver structural engineering designs adapting techniques and standards to suit complex challenges.
Manage intricate design elements including conflicting requirements unconventional materials and highcoordination scenarios.
Ensure all commercial costsafetyand legal considerations are integrated into design specifications.
Mentor and guide junior engineersdesignersand drafters.

Werelooking for someone with a bachelors degree in structural engineering andextensiveexperience in infrastructure projectsideally within a multidisciplinary environment. You will also bring:
- Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills

- Experience coordinating across project teams
