Job Description
As a Security Officer - Warehouse Patrol in Charlotte NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations respond to alarms and/or access control activity and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees contractors and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal policies for access control visitor management and reporting.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout office campus and/or technology facility areas including exterior perimeters parking areas lobbies and common spaces while watching for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter incidents.
- Monitor alarms cameras and other security-related systems as assigned document observations and communicate concerns to site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical calls disruptive behavior and/or fire and equipment alarms and assist with evacuations and accountability per post orders.
- Complete timely accurate written reports and logs including patrol activity incidents maintenance issues and follow-up actions and relay key information during shift turnovers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
