Job Summary

A well-regarded secondary school in Sheffield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Music to join its vibrant Creative Arts faculty. This is an excellent opportunity for a Music specialist who is passionate about performance composition and developing students confidence through a broad and engaging curriculum.

About the Role

As Teacher of Music you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and timetable. You will deliver a curriculum that develops musical understanding practical skill and creative expression.

Students will build confidence in:

  • Performing (solo and ensemble) with opportunities to develop technique and stage presence

  • Composing and arranging using structured guidance and creative exploration

  • Listening and appraising including musical elements genres and context

  • Music technology where appropriate supporting recording sequencing or digital composition

  • GCSE preparation (where offered) through clear modelling purposeful practice and feedback

You will encourage a positive inclusive classroom culture where students feel confident to participate take creative risks and improve through rehearsal and reflection.
