We are seeking a Server System Validation Technician to join our team. This role will involve supporting post-silicon validation activities configuring server platforms and executing validation test plans to ensure system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in server system architecture operating systems virtualization platforms scripting and hardware validation testing along with a strong passion for supporting advanced computing and server technologies.

Job Description

Trilyon is seeking a skilled Server System Validation Technician to support system validation activities for server platforms within a post-silicon validation lab environment. The Server System Validation Technician will be responsible for configuring server systems executing validation test plans and supporting debugging activities to ensure reliable server platform performance.

The Server System Validation Technician will collaborate closely with validation engineers hardware engineers and software teams to validate system functionality across operating systems virtualization environments and stress testing frameworks. This role includes setting up x86 platforms running validation tests and troubleshooting issues discovered during system validation cycles.

The Server System Validation Technician will also assist with lab setup system configuration and debugging activities to ensure server systems meet reliability and performance requirements. Additionally the Server System Validation Technician will contribute to test automation scripting and documentation of validation procedures to support ongoing system development and qualification processes.

Key Responsibilities Server Platform Setup & Configuration

Set up and configure x86 server platforms for validation and testing activities.
Install and configure operating systems and virtualization environments required for validation testing.

System Validation Testing

Develop and execute server system validation test plans across multiple environments.
Perform validation testing using operating systems virtualization platforms and system stress applications.

Post-Silicon Validation Support

Support post-silicon validation activities related to x86-64 server architecture.
Assist engineering teams in identifying system issues during validation cycles.

Debugging & Troubleshooting

Support lab debug activities and troubleshooting of server platform issues.
Work with engineering teams to identify root causes of hardware or software validation issues.

Automation & Scripting

Develop and maintain scripts to automate validation testing and system configuration tasks.
Support validation workflows using automation tools and scripting frameworks.

Documentation & Reporting

Document validation test procedures results and troubleshooting findings.
Maintain organized test documentation and lab records.

Required Skills & Experience Server System Architecture (3 years)

Good understanding of x86 and server system architecture.
Familiarity with BIOS ACPI device drivers and system firmware interactions.

Operating Systems (3 years)

Experience installing configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.

Virtualization Platforms (3 years)

Experience working with virtualization technologies such as VMware KVM Xen or Hyper-V.
Understanding of SRIOV and virtualized server environments.

Validation Testing & Lab Environment (3 years)

Experience supporting system validation or hardware testing activities in lab environments.

Automation & Scripting (2 years)

Experience with scripting languages such as Python Ruby or Perl.
Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or Jenkins.

Troubleshooting & Debugging (2 years)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug system and validation issues.

Collaboration & Communication

Strong teamwork communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple validation tasks and coordinate with engineering teams.

Education

Associates or Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent industry experience may also be considered.
