Job Summary

Role: Seating Launch Engineer
Location: Normal IL (Onsite)
Duration: Full Time Permanent

Job Description

OUTPUT 3: CLEAN JOB DESCRIPTION

2 years of experience in automotive Seating components and subsystem
Launch support of automotive Seating and subsystem parts in manufacturing plant
Excellent product knowledge of Seating components (Recliner Backframe Track Foam Trim and Plastics )
Check the quality of components and identify defects if any
Find the root cause of product issues and provide temporary countermeasure
Work with cross functional team in the plant to find a permanent solution / design fix for ongoing issues
Create a CAD proposal in Catia V6 and support change management
Collaborate with key Seating system and Seat component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and production build events
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive Seating components and subsystem
Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and plastic tooling
