Job Summary

Job Title: IMS Mainframe System Programmer

Location: Plano TX Hybrid OR Remote

Job Type: Contract

Taxterms: C2C W2

Responsibilities:

Lead the planning execution and delivery of projects related to insurance claims systems tools and processes.
Experience working within an IMS Database environment. Familiarity with mainframe functional areas such as z/OS Operating System Storage Databases CICS and Disaster Recovery concepts.
Experience in IMS V15.5 or Later upgrade with SMP/E
Experience in ISV products include but are not limited to CA database tools IBM database tools Sysview Omegamon and Mainview.
Experience in IMS Database Objects Logical Unit definitions and IMS Commands.
Expert in IMS configuration like SYSGEN PSBGEN Subsystem configuration.
Will serve as primary technical contact for the mainframe Database for one or more clients during transition

Skills:

Expertise in performing SMP/E and Non-SMPE Installation of ISV products)
Expertise in IMS V15.5 or later upgrade
Mastery of IMS Database objects PSB ACB and SYSGEN process.
Configure IMS components including SYSGEN PSBGEN ACB generation and subsystem configuration.
Manage and support IMS Database objects logical unit definitions and IMS command operations.
Work with database monitoring and management tools such as CA database tools IBM database tools Sysview Omegamon and Mainview.
Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure system stability in the IMS mainframe environment.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams supporting z/OS storage CICS and disaster recovery environments.
Serve as the primary technical contact for mainframe database systems during client transitions and production support.
