Position Overview
TheExtrusion Operatorsupports the manufacturing of polyethylene (PE) pipe by assisting with coiling taping stacking packaging and performing basic quality checks. ThisExtrusion Operatorposition is an entry-level manufacturing role with training provided.
The idealExtrusion Operatoris dependable safety-focused and capable of maintaining production flow while working with large pipe materials in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Installpre-cut gaskets on vacuum and spray tanksas instructed
Verifyproper coiler arm settings for pipe diameters ranging from 2860
Coil polyethylene pipeneatly and tightly according to specifications
Tape coils atfour points with four wrapsfor proper securing
Secure thestart and end of each coil using color footage tape
Plugboth ends of each completed pipe coil
Inspect pipe forproper printing labeling and surface qualityincluding scratches splits pock marks or rough ends
Maintainorganized and safe pipe stacks within the production area
Communicatenon-conforming products or operational issues to the Shift Supervisor
Place defective pipe in thedesignated regrind area
Maintain aclean and organized work area from extruder to coiler
Return tools and supplies at theend of each shift
Participate inshift change communication to maintain production continuity
Training Provided
Generalsafety and housekeeping standards
Defect identification and reporting procedures
PE pipe coiling and unloading procedures
Gasket installation and basic extrusion equipment operation
Protective Equipment (PPE)
Steel or composite-toe safety footwear requiredin production and warehouse areas
Safety glasses required and provided
Additional PPE required depending onspecific tasks and production activities
