Apex Alliance is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a hotel development project in Italy.
The role will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle from the active construction phase through fit-out pre-opening coordination and operational handover. The Project Manager will act as Apex Alliances on-site representative coordinating contractors consultants brand partners and local authorities to ensure the project is delivered on time within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery
- Manage day-to-day construction and fit-out activities on site
- Maintain and monitor the project master schedule and identify potential delays
- Coordinate all project stakeholders including contractors consultants and brand technical teams
- Oversee procurement and delivery of FF&E OS&E and specialist equipment
Budget & Cost Control
- Manage the project budget cost tracking and financial reporting
- Control change orders and contractor variations
- Provide structured reporting to the Head of Development and Group Finance
Brand & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with the brand partners technical services team
- Ensure compliance with brand design technical and operational standards
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with the general contractor subcontractors and local consultants
- Coordinate with architects engineers and project specialists
- Act as the primary local representative for Apex Alliance
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Italian construction regulations permits and safety standards
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies when required
Pre-opening & Handover
- Coordinate with Apex Alliance Hotel Management during the pre-opening phase
- Oversee snagging commissioning and project close-out
- Ensure smooth transition from construction to operational handover
Requirements
510 years of project management experience in construction or property development
Proven track record delivering complex building projects from construction through fit-out
Experience in hospitality projects is preferred
Experience in renovation or conversion projects is an advantage
Experience working in Italy or with Italian construction practices and regulations is highly desirable
Strong budget management and cost control skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different countries and cultures
Hands-on site-based working style
Fluent English required Italian is a strong advantage
Strong organisational planning and reporting skills
