Job Summary
- 2 days per week initially for 3 months then ongoing intermittently
- Located at our Kensington Seeing Eye Dogs facility
- $95 per hour

We follow the journey of a Seeing Eye Dog from their breeding and initial development as puppies through their advanced training to ensure they can safely guide their future partners to matching them with a client and finally ending with their happy retirement after eight years of dedicated service.

About the Opportunity
As our Veterinarian you will uphold the health of Seeing Eye Dogs at all stages of the program in such a way that their ability to work as a SED is this role you will also:
- Provide routine heath care including; veterinary consultations vaccination and nutrition programs and procedures
- Perform routine health checks at critical stages of a SEDs development including; admission to training matching to a client and graduation with a client
- Provide veterinary advice on a dogs ability to function as a SED where it relates to their health

About You
As part of the Seeing Eye Dogs team you should hold a qualification in Veterinary Science that is recognised in addition current registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of Victoriais required. You will also have:
- Minimum 3 years full time equivalent experience in small animal practice (with daily veterinary care of dogs)
- Current radiation licence
- Ability to work independently in regards to complex surgeries and medical cases
