The Department of Facility MaintenanceAutomotive Equipment Service Division is looking for two (2) Tire Repair Workers. Vacancies are located at the Halawa Corporation Yard and are responsible for changing and repairing tires and tubes for various types of construction industrial heavy truck and light vehicles and applying applicable safety practices rules and procedures all while performing these duties in a safe and acceptable manner.
What Youll Do- Inspect tires on equipment to determine the need for replacement.
- Change and repair various types of tires and sizes from construction industrial heavy truck and light vehicles to heavy construction equipment.
- Operate vehicles within the yard to the Tire Shop for access to service and repair equipment and tire supply.
- Operate tire changing machines impact tools hydraulic lifts and other miscellaneous tools to dismount and mount tires on wheel repair tire punctures and remove and install wheels on construction industrial heavy truck and light vehicles or equipment.
- Serves as a Disaster Response Worker during times of emergencies.
- Exposure to a potential explosive separation of a multi-piece rim wheel or a sudden release of the contained air of a single-piece rim wheel.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Some experience and/or training in changing and repairing automotive and truck tires.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of the most common practices tools materials and equipment used in changing and repairing tires of various types and sizes; and the ability to learn to readily recognize and repair tire damage; remove and mount tires of all sizes; and operate tire changing and dismantling equipment.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid appropriate drivers license (automobile/Type 3) prior to appointment.
