Based on the Melbourne CBD campus however you will be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University and apprentice or trainee locations

About You
You are an experienced and industry-connected professional with strong skills and knowledge in the discipline areas of Cyber Security and/or Cloud Computing. You bring current industry expertise such as network security frameworks (e.g. CCNA Network Security) or cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and are passionate about sharing your knowledge to support the development of job-ready graduates.
You demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging and practical learning experiences that connect theory with real-world industry practices. With a commitment to high-quality vocational education you are able to translate complex technical concepts into accessible learning for diverse student cohorts.
You are collaborative and adaptable working effectively with colleagues and industry stakeholders to ensure learning programs remain relevant innovative and aligned with emerging technologies and workforce needs.
Your strong communication skills enthusiasm for teaching and dedication to student success enable you to contribute positively to the learning environment and support the delivery of high-quality training within the vocational education sector.
To be successful in this position you will have as a minimum:
Skills and knowledge across key Information Technology discipline areas including (but not limited to) Cyber Security (e.g. Splunk) Cloud Computing (e.g. AWS) Networking (e.g. Cisco CCNA) Database Management (e.g. MySQL Oracle) and Programming (e.g. Java Python cloudbased development).
Effective interpersonal skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills and in the use of flexible teaching methods.
Skills and experience in competency-based assessment.
Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
Experience in relevant industry and substantial discipline knowledge
Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students propose and implement effective solutions.
Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
Qualifications
Certificate IV TAE (must)
